Company Schedule vs. Work Schedule
In the app, there are two types of schedules that help organize and plan work: the Company Schedule and the Work Schedule. While they may seem similar, they serve different purposes and work together.
Company Schedule
The Company Schedule defines the global operating hours — the days and times the company is officially open.
- It can only be configured by users with an Administrator profile.
- It sets the boundaries for individual user schedules.
- It also indicates which days the company is closed — no tasks or schedules can be created on those days.I
- If a user doesn't have a personal schedule set, the Company Schedule will be used by default.
Work Schedule
The Work Schedule is specific to each user and is configured directly in their profile.
- It can only be edited by users with a Supervisor or Administrator profile.
- It represents the user's typical availability.
- It must always be within the limits of the Company Schedule (both in days and hours).
- Supervisors can still assign tasks outside the user’s work schedule — as long as they fall within the Company Schedule.
How they work together
The Company Schedule defines the operating limits — the days and hours when work can officially be planned and performed. The Work Schedule defines the usual availability of each user, within those limits.
This means:
- Tasks cannot be scheduled outside the company schedule.
- Tasks can be scheduled outside a user’s work schedule, as long as they’re still within the company schedule.
This setup ensures that work is always planned during valid times, while still allowing flexibility when needed.
